A List Of Stunning Wedding Venues In Orange County
Every couple dreams of the perfect wedding. They always check out wedding venues that give them the “wow factor”,! There are so many different locations to choose from and various styles and nature. Today we are going to explore some of the stunning venues available in Orange County with an ambiance you can’t find anywhere else.
1. Capri Laguna Hotel
One cannot even begin to describe the charm and glamour of this boutique hotel. The perfect location for a smaller wedding, it overlooks the beautiful ocean. Additionally, the hotel has a wonderful ballroom “under the stars” to allow guests to dance the night away!
At Capri Laguna, there are three different magical options for the wedding ceremony. The first option, consisting of couples that desire to get married on the sand right along the glistening water. The second option, consisting of couples that prefer to keep their feet clean but still be eye level with the water on the lower deck! Within the lower deck option, couples are allowed to choose between two gazebos. Lastly, my favorite is having the ceremony overlooking the water on the upper deck. This not only creates the most epic photos but will leave your guest with a view to remember.
2. Seven-Degrees Wedding Venue
This chic and modern wedding venue adds to the extravagant ambiance created by the architecture! The terraces and views overlooking the ocean are one of a kind! Not only will your guests love the views, but also the pop of colors and mixture of designs inside the dining and dancing area! Their website says it best, “A wedding is a stage that features act one, scene one of your love story. Our Laguna Beach wedding venue is ready to play stage to the dream wedding that you’ve envisioned. When that day finally arrives, and the first step is taken down the aisle, we want those steps to be taken without a care in the world”. Seven degrees creates an absolutely seamless experience whilst capturing all the important details.
3. The Ranch at Laguna Beach
Some couples might prefer to keep their wedding venues inland. With kids and elders, it may be easier to manage everyone in an area beautifully surrounded by canyons and greenery. The ambiance created at The Ranch at Laguna Beach is like none other. The golf course and tall trees bring greenery to a Laguna Beach Wedding and truly connect to the desired Ranch ambiance to create incredible photos. The tones of brown and beige create a timeless yet classy ambiance you’ll have amazing photos from your special day.
4. The Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel
Not only is this location a 5-star hotel, but it is also a luxurious spot for many weddings! My favorite part of these wedding venues is the many different options couples get to choose from and the most stunning photo locations. A full list including The Monarch Bay Sunset Terrace and Lawn, The Bluff, The Pacific Promenade Lawn, The Plaza, The Terrace Salon, The Pavilion, The Pacific Promenade, The Ritz-Carlton Ballroom, and Dana Lawn.
The Monarch Bay Sunset Terrace and Lawn, The Bluff, The Pacific Promenade Lawn
The Spanish-styled Monarch Bay Sunset Terrace and Lawn has a wide courtyard and lawn that overlooks the ocean. The European setting is private and seats 75 for the perfect wedding ceremony or cocktail hour. The Bluff is unique in the sense that it provides a panoramic view of the ocean and coastline. Furthermore, the lush greens are often accompanied by flowers of vibrant colors. The area is perfect for a reception of 550 or fewer. Similar to The Bluff, The Pacific Promenade Lawn shares somewhat of the same views but is more fitting for a smaller reception of 200 guests.
The Plaza, The Terrace Salon
The Plaza is a beautifully decorated dining area that overlooks the ocean. Its magnificent chandeliers add to the ambiance creating a perfect reception for about 70 individuals to ensure you have incredible photos. Slightly larger, The Terrace Salon is a private reception area with access to a poolside patio. Outdoor furniture, heaters, and fireplaces are included on the private patio, which creates a relaxing but classy Southern California atmosphere and perfect outdoor light.
The Pavilion and The Pacific Promenade
Next up is the Pavilion, slightly larger and with french doors that open to the beautiful 180 panoramic views. I’ve had clients that value a more private and secluded space for their reception. This is where the Pavilion provides the perfect spots which can hold about 350 for the reception. Subsequently, the Pacific Promenade mixes tones of green, gold, blue, and cream to create those dreamy photos every bride dreams of!
The Ritz-Carlton Ballroom and Dana Lawn
For a very large group, The Ritz-Carlton Ballroom creates an ambiance of class as it is decorated from antique white elegant wood moldings and bohemian crystal chandeliers. This spot holds a reception of 900. This spot elevates your wedding and makes for jaw-dropping photos to cherish for lifetimes. Lastly, The Dana Lawn which overlooks the water and priceless sunset views. The reception holds 600. Undoubtedly, I could’ve made a blog post specifically about Ritz-Carlton venues because there are so many choices; however, I wanted to only give a glimpse of the many opportunities by choosing the Ritz. 5. Occasions At Laguna Village
A wonderful terrace with a gazebo, gardens, and grass creates the perfect wedding reception for as many as 180 guests. This venue is specifically perfect for those who don’t want to get married “on” the beach but love to include that aspect in their reception. They say it best on their website, “With advice for every budget, we’ll make your wedding on the beach cliffs the event you’ve always dreamed of. What we include in our Laguna Beach wedding packages is unsurpassed in value.” Above all, the venue encompasses the tropical ambiance and creates a vibrant day for couples to cherish for years to come. What I love about this venue is you can get those iconic beach cliff photos without getting sandy or near the water!
6. Terra Laguna Beach
The Terra is unique in its edgy and artistic culture. Specifically, the hues of brown and black add to the ambiance. Most importantly, this venue specifically specializes in food. It utilizes a sustainable food model to create treasured artistic Californian cuisine. It is one of my favorite wedding venues. The photos show off the historic building that has been around since the 1950s but that doesn’t stop it from creating a modern look. More than often, the receptions are held outside which is amazing for that even light for photos.
7. The Montage
The Montage is a one-of-a-kind experience and a personal favorite! There are 5 different venues within the Montage to choose from depending on your preferences. The first of which is the Grand Ballroom, which hosts up to 500 guests and allows access to the courtyard and foyer. Its beautiful high ceiling and chandeliers make for photos right out of a fairytale.
Next, is the Gallery Ballroom which hosts up to 240 guests. Similar in style to the Grand Ballroom, it is perfect for a more intimate wedding. Following is the Outdoor Courtyard, the perfect space for pre-function activities with guests. What better place than a courtyard overlooking the beautiful landscape!
If one is more set on an ocean view wedding, they must consider The Oceanfront Event Lawns. It has space for up to 300 guests and sits up top overlooking the picturesque views of the ocean. Lastly, The Studio Restaurant sits 50 feet above the ocean and provides a beautiful view of the water! The cuisine and ambiance are the perfect combinations of elegance.
8. Dana Point Yacht Club
If you want a wedding on the sea, there is no better place than the Dana Point Yacht Club. Its smaller location allows for an intimate reception overlooking the water. On land, there is a wonderful space for cocktail hour with views that’ll make the dining at your wedding another kind of experience. The photos will capture the tones of blues and greens, there is no better ambiance than the one found on a boat. The photos captured on the yacht are unique in their tastefulness and distinguished look.
9. Wedgewood Weddings
Aliso Viejo by Wedgewood Weddings is a luxury and serene venue tucked away in a stunningly isolated nook of Orange County. The views across Saddleback Mountain are picture perfect and give a quiet setting that is naturally magnificent, making it a haven for many couples. There are multiple gorgeous ceremony sites overlooking the lush valleys and canyons to create that dramatic backdrop for the photos!
10. The Oceana Mansion
This beautiful Italian-designed villa sets the stage for a Californian meets European Romance! The 20,000 square feet is filled with numerous venue features to design your perfect wedding. The lower grass and rose garden create an Italian ambiance perfect for ceremony processionals.
There’s even a pool in the back with a 12 ft cascading waterfall making the perfect spot for cocktail hour. Additionally, the stone patios provide a great dance floor and dinner venue. There’s even room for mingling with the guests near the outdoor fireplaces and secret gardens. Inside the bridal party can get ready in the guest house whilst the groomsmen spiffy up in the pool house. Other guests who may need to get ready or use the bathroom have the choice of five grand restrooms to choose from. The venue allows for 3-day access to make for a seamless wedding. The photos will emanate the rich, classy culture of both Italy and California.
Remember that whatever venue you choose, it’s more about the love you and your partner share!
In conclusion, a wedding venue should emanate the love you two share. Although the choices can be overwhelming, it can be easier to narrow down the options by thinking of your priorities. For instance, if you plan on inviting children to your ceremony. Contrary, if you have a predominately older guest list. However, each wedding differs in the details. Therefore, take note of the details you want for your wedding. Whether this is the ocean, the lush valleys, the ambiance. After that, the options will be simplified and you can focus on the experience you want to create.
Above all, remember this is your day. Importantly so, the day you guys will cherish for years to come. Although some may focus on the venue itself, it’s more about the love the couple shares. In other words, don’t get too caught up in the minor things in life. That is to say, you can’t go wrong!
