Palace of Fine Arts Engagement Session in San Fransico

History

Palace of Fine arts is located in the beautiful bay-side neighborhood of the Marina in San Francisco. The Palace of Fine Arts is steeped rich in San Francisco history. It housed military vehicles during World War II. In 1945, it was the starting point for the state motorcades during the creation of the United Nations. Palace of Fine Arts is a wonderful spot for your engagement photos.

Palace of the Fine arts is a magical location for your engagement session with the ancient Roman and Greek architecture. Nestled along the restful waters of a lagoon, the Palace provides a colonnaded pergola that meets under a central rotunda. The architecture is simply fascinating and romantic with the perfect landscaping. Surrounded by willows, pines, and grasses will create the best backdrop for your engagement photos.

Walking around the grand colonnade overlooking the lagoon and watching the birds is the perfect ambiance for engagement photos. Elizabeth and Casey couldn’t have asked for a perfect day for their engagement session. The Palace of Fine Arts Theater creates a breathtaking backdrop for your photography session. You get a great variety from the cream tones of the grand colonnade to the greenery from the landscape. Not to measure the lagoon of water and birds flying around creating the perfect photo for you.

Tips

One helpful tip if you’re planning on photographing your engagement session is to check the latest permit policy. San Francisco has had many popular films have been shot in-park locations. One of my favorites would have to be The Princess Diaries and The Wedding Planner. Given the popularity of this location, your photographer might need to submit a request for a permit depending on the latest rules. You can check the website here for the most recent information.
